Amsterdam is also known for being a haven for hippies. He has since moved to a larger economy and a cosmopolitan center of business success. The hippie era of the 60s and 70s when Amsterdam got its name from hippie haven of culture free for all. Most people visualize this expired idea even today.

The new economy has brought prosperity around spring growing areas of business and transforming the landscape in general around the old town houses and canals.
